Description

A regional Spine Network is being established across South East London and Kent. The project is being led by King's College Hospital, London with clinical leadership from King's and Guy's Hospitals with financial support from NHS England. Attached to this work is the redesign of one common electronic spine referral system (non-emergency) which will put 'Triage and Treat services' at the heart of Spine assessment and management - encouraging patients to be seen locally and more quickly wherever possible and clarifying the process for referrals which require a surgical opinion. Clinical Spine leads have worked together to develop clinical pathways in Spine that will be embedded in the Spine referral system. This system will allow for improved data collection, reporting and tracking of referrals.
