Description

Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group ("OCCG") is seeking to engage with the market and interested providers regarding a potential opportunity to provide GP services at Windrush Surgery in Banbury, Oxfordshire under a GMS contract.

The successful provider would be required to work with existing GP partners over the coming years with a view to fully take on the full range of primary medical services and run the surgery when current GP partners retire.

The surgery is an urban non-dispensing practice with a smaller than average patient list of 8,500 with an approximate gross revenue of >£1,000,000 per annum.

It is anticipated the contract will commence in July 2021.
The successful provider will be expected to:

• Work with current GP partners with a view to take over the surgery fully within 2 - 3 years.
• Play a full role in the Banbury Alliance primary care network, newly formed with 3 member practices.
• Provide primary care services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive.
• Deliver all services throughout core hours which will cover 8am until 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
• Design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment.
• Have processes in place to evaluate and continually improve on patient satisfaction.
• Have processes in place to engage effectively with the local communities.
• Participate in Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).
• Be eligible for and expected to provide all Enhanced Services, remunerated in line with the relevant Directions as specified by the commissioner on an annual basis.
• Promotion of healthy living with the aim of tackling the underlying causes of ill health
• Participate in medical training - currently F2s and future potential for medical student

This procurement is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners.
