Description

West Inshore and Offshore and the South East Inshore Marine Plan. This work and relevant reporting will:

a. produce a Review and Recommendations Report including a complete list of sites to be screened to assess the effects of marine plans on protected European/Ramsar sites

b. undertake and report on the screening phase of policies to assess the likely significant effect on European/Ramsar sites as part of the HRA process and identify policies to be taken forward to appropriate assessment

c. undertake an appropriate assessment of the policies identified in the screening phase to assess whether they will have an adverse effect on the integrity of European/Ramsar sites and present information in an Appropriate Assessment Information Report

This work will be in accordance with the relevant HRA and guidance (including, but not limited to, the Habitats Directive and National Planning Policy Framework).

This work will focus on completing the screening and appropriate assessment information report stages of the HRA process. The HRA work for the North East Inshore and Offshore, North West Inshore and Offshore, South West Inshore and Offshore and the South East Inshore Marine Plans is being procured together, to ensure maximum efficiency and value for money for the MMO. There is likely to be some overlap of policies and therefore should not constitute the work required to undertake 4 separate, unconnected HRAs.
