Description
The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services for Reigate Park Primary School.
Reigate Park Primary School is the only 1 of its type within Derby City, educating hearing and deaf pupils alongside each other within a mainstream setting. Staff, pupils and families work in partnership to ensure that each child's educational experiences are of the highest quality. We are very proud of our ethos of 'Inclusion for All' and strive for the best possible outcomes for every child, whatever their starting point.
Our Vision is to ensure that Reigate Park pupils are: Highly aspirational, motivated and ambitious, committed to lifelong learning, skilled in communicating, adaptable and resilient, tolerant respectful citizens.
Children at Reigate Park with a birthday during the academic year all receive a cake!
The catering contract being offered will commence on 1.8.2017 for an initial period of 3 years, concluding on 31.7.2020, with the option at the governors' discretion to extend for a further term of up to 2 years. The contract will be offered on a guaranteed performance basis, with a service on each of the 190 full academic days and a hospitality requirement on 5 teacher training inset days.
The Client has operated an in-house catering service since September 2015. Turnover of the catering service in 2015/16 was circa 80 000 GBP. The Client invites Suppliers to consider what capital investment they may provide to improve the pupil meal experience and /or enhancement of food production facilities.
The successful Supplier is expected to have a strong local presence, as specialist caterers in the Primary School sector.
The contract covers the scope for the provision of catering services within the school, which currently includes breakfast club, lunch, all hospitality and free issue requirements. Free school meals and hospitality will be charged based on consumption.
The Client expects the successful Supplier to enable the continued development of catering through the provision of an innovative, healthy food service, prepared on-site, in the well-designed and equipped kitchens.
The Client intends to focus heavily on healthy, fresh, seasonal, locally sourced produce and see the catering service as an exciting opportunity to complement the overall uptake, student and parent experience, through the regular introduction of new ingredients, themed and promotional events. The successful Supplier will be required to play their part in acting as a catalyst for improvement of the pupil experience.
