Description

The site for the works is situated within the curtilage and premises of Our Lady St. Chad Catholic School. The surrounding area is primarily residential in nature. The existing buildings will be occupied and/ or used during the Contract as follows: Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The successful contractor will be required to carry out the contracted works without undue inconvenience, nuisance and danger to occupants and users. The works comprise of the construction of a single storey extension (approx. 60sq.m) to an existing school building. Construction is to be trench foundation with a reinforced concrete floor, external fair faced brick and block cavity wall and flat roof consisting of timber joists, plywood decking and insulated flat roof covering. Removal of existing windows and infilling of openings including forming door openings in existing construction. Mechanical and Electrical Services Installations. The Contractor is directed to the drawings to the drawings to identify the exact shape, nature, extent and location of the Works. The proposed Contract for the works is the JCT Minor Works Building Contract, 2011, issued September 2011 incorporating Amendment 1 issued March 2015 and it is a requirement that suppliers are familiar with this form and do have access to a copy when compiling tender submissions. It is the Councils intent that a single supplier will be appointed to deliver this requirement who will take complete responsibility for delivery of the works.
