Description

Greater Manchester Police are seeking to award a Framework for the provision Auction House Services. The Authority intends to award Framework Status to companies that are capable of providing the required Services in compliance with the requirements of the tender document.

The main objective is for items (also referred to as 'found property', 'property' other than found', and police owned assets), to be safely and securely removed from GMP's stores at various locations in Greater Manchester area and auctioned in a manner that would generate maximum amount of income, as the realised funds are used for charitable purposes e.g. to support local crime prevention initiatives etc.

This procurement is divided into two (2) LOTs;

LOT 1: Auction of Properties (e.g. Bicycles, jewelleries, watches etc.)
LOT 2: Auction of Vehicles

Auction Houses must be based in the Greater Manchester area to keep transportation costs, and the associated environmental impact involved with transporting items, to a minimum.

The lowest and highest value range provided is the estimated annual spend.

The initial contract duration is for two (2) years with an option to extend for another two (2) years.
