Description

Heritage 2022 Video Tape Digitisation aims to identify and preserve through cost-efficient digitisation the most at-risk / high-value 100,000 titles within video collections across the UK; currently stored on near obsolete videotape formats within the BFI National Archive collections and those of Significant Collections with the support of Regional and National Archives (RNAs) before they are lost forever.
As part of this process we aim to safeguard collections and future-proof digitisation capabilities by undertaking a complex logistics plan across our Framework Supplier Network (FSN).

At a first stage of this process we wish to achieve mass transport of the first batch of approximately 30k selected assets for an affordable cost within 12 months from the start date of the contract.
