Description

The works are to develop four infrastructure concept design outputs on the Weybridge site, producing a set of 4 defined outputs to RIBA stage 3. Each of these discrete outputs will define the project scope and technical requirements and will be used to form a tender for a separate award to a delivery contractor for the detailed design and construction of the project through RIBA stages 4 -7.

This Contract award includes the development of these designs, and additionally encompass the requirement to provide ongoing support to the 4 projects beyond the completion of the RIBA stage 3 Developed Design work. This will extend into the construction phase of the project where the supplier's input will be required to act as the design guardian and assist DEFRA in reviewing deliverables and managing change. In addition to the four projects listed in the Project Brief (below). This contract may be extended by mutual consent subject to Defra's discretion to cover the capital programme of projects listed in Appendix D of the ITT. The award of this Contract may also form the vehicle for ad-hoc design awards not defined in the ITT. The award of this Contract is made with no obligation by the client to award any or all of the additional work listed, or works not presently identified or listed.
