Description

The Agency is seeking to appoint an external technical reviewer for the work being carried out on our regulatory groundwater model for the Test and Itchen Chalk

The Test and Itchen (T&I) Groundwater Model was developed in 2005 and since then has been updated and enhanced in 2011 by Southern Water and in 2013 by the Agency (as well as being extended to cover the Wey catchment). The last update by the Environment Agency was completed in March 2020. The model has been refined by WSP/Southern Water recently to inform WINEP investigations related to the Candover, Itchen wetlands and Kingsclere. Please refer to Appendix A for details of the model evolution and the proposed update and refinement works to be carried out over the next 2 years. The Environment Agency have appointed WSP to carry out this update.
