Description

Cormac are the Contractor for the above works and invite you to submit your best tender for the potential subcontract surface dressing works detailed below.

Your price should include the provision of all staff, labour, plant equipment and fuel necessary to complete the works, including all deliveries to site, offloading and transit around site of any materials, plant or equipment. Please note stone will be supplied by CORMAC Solutions but must be transported by the subcontractor to site from allocated chipping landings. The bitumen is to be supplied by the subcontractor and can be stored in mobile storage tankers located in CORMAC Solutions' depot at Tolpetherwin, Nr Launceston.

Your tender must be submitted on the basis of current prices and these prices shall remain fixed until the end of September 2017. All the unit rates are fixed and shall not be subject to price fluctuations.

Below is the key information for this work.

1. Potential commencement date for the works is 18th April 2017 and the approximate total volume of work will be between 400,000-600,000m².

2. The list of potential sections, designs, traffic management requirements, approximate durations and all other necessary information can be requested.

3. The tenderer is to be aware that the price submitted is to be held for the duration of the project works. CORMAC Solutions' decision on how to award and let these scheme(s) will be final.

4. CORMAC will supply suitable traffic management operatives and will dictate the type of traffic management to be used. It is CORMAC Solutions' policy on surface dressing sites that marshals will be used at each end of a road closure to coordinate traffic movements and liaise with the public; this also negates the need for an official diversion route to be set up.

5. Please note that the 'normal' Site working times are 7.30am until 7.00pm Monday to Friday, Saturdays from 7.30am until 7.00pm.

6. We require you to provide a full time experienced site supervisor for all your daytime works, to promote advanced planning and liaise with our staff. The nominated site supervisor will, at a minimum, need to have undertaken the 'CITB Health and Safety for Site Supervisors' course or similar industry recognised accredited courses and have significant experience in the supervision and delivery of surface dressing contracts.

7. The price is to include the provision of all company and individuals certifications, and approvals, where required, for inclusion in the clients Health and Safety file.

8. The contractor should allow for a telehandler/JCB or similar suitable plant to load chippings from the appropriate landings.
