1694/328/ML/NAMRC/17 Materials Framework -Steel Alloy Cylinders
The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders to establish a framework agreement with one or more suppliers on behalf of the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, for the supply of Cylinders in support of its NI502 and NI 504 Projects. .
Scope of Requirement:
The Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre has an immediate requirement for Cylinders / flanges as detailed in Appendix A of the Published ITT.
Tenderers shall note that a number of options have been identified to encourage the widest response; however, the Purchaser will accept the best fit to meet the needs of the project currently under consideration.
Preference shall be given to supply as follows:
• Method of manufacture: Forging
• Material Grade: ASTM / ASME SA508 grade 3 class1 (Western / EU source preferred)
