Description
The provision TC994 - Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) Mediation and Disagreement Resolution Services
The Children and Families Act (2014), Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Regulations (2014) and the SEND Code of Practice (2014) require local authorities and health commissioners to provide Disagreement Resolution and Mediation Services in order to promote early resolution of disputes through non-judicial means.
The vision of Greater Manchester (GM) children and young people's plan is to make GM one of the best places in the world to grow up, get on and grow old. This means a place where all children have the best start in life and young people grow up inspired to exceed expectations. Children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) are front and centre of GMs priorities. The plan commits to supporting all children and young people to achieve their potential and a specific focus on those with SEND.
