Description
Bournemouth Borough Council are looking to appoint an organisation to develop, deliver and oversee all aspects of Arts by the Sea festival marketing and publicity as detailed within this specification, driving sales and ensuring that all platforms are fully optimised.
The Supplier will be expected to liaise direct with artists, venues, partners and ticketing agents as well as working closely with the festival team.
Bournemouth Arts by the Sea Festival presents an inspirational, ambitious and diverse combined-arts festival and works with many partners to stage a broad programme of mainly free events in a variety of outdoor and indoor locations throughout the town. These include large-scale outdoor spectaculars, performances of music, dance, theatre, comedy, circus and many workshops and participatory events. The festival also currently includes an indoor ticketed programme and has strong values of accessibility and environmental sustainability underpinning programming and logistical decisions. The festival is an annual eight-day event held in early-October and will place emphasis on Bournemouth's unique location and spaces. In 2018 the festival enters its eighth year. More information can be found on the festival website www.artsbythesea.co.uk
The contract will be for one year with the option to extend the contract annually for a further three years. Therefore, if all extensions were taken, the full length of the contract would be for four years. It is anticipated that the contract will commence in February 2018.
