Description
The Royal Borough of Greenwich intends to Invite Tenders for a Lead Tenant for a Short Breaks and Activities Hub for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families.
The Hub, at 47 Abbey Grove, Abbey Wood will be open throughout the year and provide a central place for families and children and young people to access much needed activities, develop social networks, access information, advice and guidance on services in the borough.
The Lead Tenant's principal responsibilities will include:
- Managing a booking system that allows interested parties to hire rooms in the hub
- Promoting the hub to local families and providers
- Facilitating the use of the hub to providers for the delivery of short breaks activities
- Ensuring the premises are clean, secure, and properly maintained at all times
- Managing the Sensory Room, to ensure it is accessible for families
- Renting of the space for private bookings such as to schools, private organisations or community members for social events.
- Developing proposals (in partnership with RBG) for income generation for the Hub
- Overall operational responsibility for the management of the hub and for transforming it into a thriving hub of activities for children with SEND and their families.
