Description

The original use of the building was as a Methodist Church. The current building has been a community hub for some years controlled and managed by a Trust. A refurbishment programme is planned which involves a programme of refurbishment which is broadly detailed below. Planning Approval for the refurbishment work has been obtained. A copy of the Planning decision notice is attached within appendix I. The Contractor will need to allow for discharging 8 nr planning conditions as part of the works along with obtaining Building Control Approval. For a full description, please also refer to the drawings and the scope of the work. Refurbishment to the main building by:
 Removal of and installation of new windows
 Removal of existing doors and installation of new doors - including fire doors and front door and window
 Removal of and installation of new rainwater goods
 Stripping and recovering the existing roofing areas
 Repairs to and replacement of ceilings
 Demolition of internal basement walls and establishing new walls
 Electrical re-wire
 Installation of new plumbing within the building
