Description
Public Health England (PHE) requires the provision of medical sleeves for use in its UK NEQAS laboratories. Due to the nature of the work, the medical sleeves must be able to fulfil the following requirements:
- Must be made of plastic using either HDPE, LDPE, or LLDPE.
- Must be macroscopically clean
- Must fit the following tubes:
o 2ml ISO SCHOTT Fiolax clear Type I glass injection vial plus stopper and crimp cap (43mm height x 20mm diameter)
o 3mL SCHOTT Fiolax clear Type I glass screw neck vial (external body diameter is 16.25 +/-0.25mm and total height is 36.5 +/-0.5mm plus stopper and cap)
- Must have dimensions that allow for the easy insertion and removal of vials
- Must have hinged lids
- Must have lids that can remain securely closed (once fitted closed).
