Description

Hertfordshire County Council (the Contracting Authority) acting on behalf of the Participating Authorities is leading on the procurement process to establish a Framework Agreement for the Supply of Independent Living Products (hereinafter referred to as 'Goods') and is seeking suitably qualified Contractor(s) to supply the Goods under any Framework Agreement resulting from this tendering exercise.

A list of the Goods required is given in the Specification (Schedule 1) of the procurement documents.

The authorities that are currently participating in this tender exercise and any subsequent Framework Agreement are listed below:

Coventry City Council
Hampshire County Council
Hertfordshire County Council (Herts Fullstop)
Southend-On-Sea Borough Council

The Contracting Authority reserves the right however to include any other Consortium member, affiliate or associate who may wish to join this arrangement throughout its life (Customers) subject to the approval of the Contracting Authority and completion of an Access Agreement.

The requirement is for the direct delivery of Goods to various locations throughout each Customer.

The anticipated total annual joint expenditure across the Participating Authorities on these Goods across all Lots is presently circa ?5,610,000 per annum, however the estimated annual range for all Customers is between ?5,000,000 and ?25,000,000.

The estimated annual spend by each Participating Authority can be broken down as follows:

Coventry City Council ?360,000
Hampshire County Council ?2,500,000
Hertfordshire County Council ?2,500,000
Southend-On-Sea Borough Council ?250,000

The Framework Agreement will be for a period of four (4) years unless terminated in accordance with the provisions of the Framework Agreement. Please note that the contract requirements will subject to available financial resources, supplier performance and flexibility to meet changing demands.

This procurement is an Open (one stage) process. Suppliers wishing to take part in this project are invited to 'express interest' which will give access to the full procurement documents in the e-tendering system.

The deadline for Expressions of Interest is 13.08.2018.
