ICIS are market leaders in wholesale gas and electricity market commentary and price assessments. Their price assessments are used as a standard across industry, including in the Ofgem price cap (written into the methodology and requires a consultation to change). Their services are required to provide price data for analysis across Ofgem and specifically for price cap calculations.
