Description
Tunbridge Wells Borough Council (TWBC) is looking to replace the current point of sale system in the Assembly Hall Theatre. The theatre seats almost 1,000 and is in the centre of Royal Tunbridge Wells. Within the Theatre there are three separate bar areas, holding three wet bars and a coffee bar. We are currently operating 6 fixed position till points and four mobile bar devices with electronic payment devices. We operate a very busy bar service over a compressed time period and have multiple staff working across the till points therefore it will be necessary for multiple members of staff to use the same till point. Ideally it will also be possible for a transaction to be entered, paused and completed on the same or a different till point. To avoid delays in service there will need to be a quick and simple solution for staff to log into the till point. In addition to the bar areas at times we sell merchandise and other items such as ice creams within the auditorium and entrance hall. The Theatre also runs events at the Amelia Scott in central Tunbridge Wells, the successful solution will need to be used in this location. The Theatre also runs an annual Ice Rink within the nearby Calverley Grounds, the solution will need to be used in this location. It will be necessary to offer different items for sale at the different venues. Due to the nature of the venues the solution will need to support the option to run over both a secure cabled and wireless LAN.
