Description
The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) requirement is for a battery test system at module level with at least 2 channels both capable to perform electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The system should be able to test modules in the current range 1 - 300 A and voltage range 5 - 60 V, without the need of using external boosters. The system should be also compact, modular with possibility of a remote control.
We require the system to have the ability to characterise the performance and lifetime of modules using such a test system. The testing facility must be capable of accurately measuring charge and discharge curves, cycling capacity, monitoring the state of charge, state of health and impedance of modules.
As a National Measurement Institute, measurement resolution and system performance are a very high priority. A system with the ability to provide time-synchronized data acquisition (temperature included), energy recovering (for cost effective operation) and integration with an EUCAR level 4 climatic chamber is highly desirable.
