Description

Great Ayton Parish Council are seeking tenders for the refurbishment of the existing public toilets in the village centre on Park Rise, Great Ayton, TS9 6ND. The purpose of the refurbishment is to provide safe and secure modern toilets for all users including being suitable for those with dementia, restricted mobility and wheelchair users. The aim is to provide new improved public toilets in a key area of the village which is a busy tourist destination on the Captain James Cook trail and on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. The facility services visitors and residents alike and should deliver a safe and pleasant environment for all users.

The 'tender pack' includes:-
• A copy of all relevant drawings as listed on the drawing issue sheet and p.2 of the Schedule of Works.
• Contract Prelims.
• Specification for the Works.
• Schedule of Works.
• Form of Tender
Please note the following:-
1. Please be aware that there is limited site area available during the works and we refer you to drawing no. 21003-SPA-ZZ-00-DR-A-90-01 T0 which indicates an area of the adjacent library car park which is available for your site facilities/storage. In addition there is a requirement for you to provide 2no. portaloos for the full duration of the Contract, including regular maintenance and cleaning of the facilities and emptying, and which should be accessible to the public at all times.
2. You should visit site and satisfy yourself as to the nature and extent of the works and prevailing conditions, as no claim will be entertained for lack of knowledge. Access to the site for the purposes of inspection may be gained by appointment with the Architect.
3. Tendering procedures will be in accordance with the NJCC Code of Procedure for a Single Stage Selective Tendering.

5. Any tender queries along with subsequent responses will be shared with all tenderers in accordance with tender protocols.
6. The Parish Council reserves the right to accept any tender from those submitted or to refuse all tenders.
7. Your attention is drawn to the need to protect the works from the time of possession until handover takes place.
8. Please indicate on the Form of Tender the approximate earliest date by which a start on site could be made together with the proposed contract period to complete the whole of the works.
9. A completed Form of Tender and priced Schedule of Works, sealed in an A4 envelope marked 'Tender 21003' should be returned to the Great Ayton Parish Council no later than noon on Wednesday 15th December, 2021. Please note that this is a tender for a public body and as such acceptance of any tender may be subject to delay whilst full verification procedures are undertaken.
