Description

To meet the Net Zero 2030 ambition, NRW aims to reduce its surface transport related GHG emissions by transitioning existing fleet of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to battery operated electric vehicles (EVs) by 2025. To realise this ambition NRW requires a fit for purpose and future proofed EV charging infrastructure (EVCI) that will support the following:
· transition of the badged ICE fleet to EVs
· support NRW's own staff, general public and other public bodies with transitioning from ICE to EVs

This project will have 2 phases. The outcomes of the first phase are:
• To carry out in depth assessments and physical site surveys of several sites as prioritised by NRW. The contractor must be prepared to travel across Wales to accommodate this requirement and must include all costs such as overnight stays, accommodation, expenses etc in its overall day rate/total cost.
• The development of indicative designs and a technical specification for EVCI that will allow NRW to tender for the installation, operation and maintenance of EVCI (the 2nd phase of the project).

This specification and tender are for phase 1 only. A separate tender and contract will be issued for phase 2 using the technical specification developed in phase 1.

This competition is being run under CCS framework RM6213 Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Solutions (VCIS).
