Description

The 2007 RTFO Order obligates fuel suppliers to provide a specified volume of renewable fuel and has a value of approximately £1.5 billion per annum. It is one of the Government's main policies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from transport and meeting UK Carbon Budget targets.

Specialist technical consultancy is needed to support the RTFO Unit in delivering the sustainability requirements of the RTFO Order and the related Motor Fuel Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting regulations.

This is a complex regulatory environment, particularly due to the sustainability issues associated with certain types of renewable fuels, and support is needed to help translate the legislative requirements and technical rules on calculating GHG emissions into clear guidance for fuel suppliers.
