Description

The Contract is for the provision of a Volunteering Centre and a Brokerage Service in the London Borough of Redbridge. The contract and service is to be provided as a whole and cannot be divided.

The Volunteering Centre and Brokerage Service aims to increase the overall volunteering levels by working with organisations across Redbridge to source volunteer placements and by helping individuals wanting to volunteer into suitable placements.
The service will: -
• Increased level of formal volunteering participation within the London Borough of Redbridge reported for each year of the Contract;

• Improved access to formal volunteering for residents, employees and students in Redbridge, particularly those with more complex needs or where there are specific barriers to volunteering such as language, physical needs, confidence etc;

• Increased quality, quantity and diversity of formal volunteering opportunities available in Redbridge;

• Improved capacity of non-profit making organisations working mainly for the benefit of Redbridge to recruit, manage and retain volunteers;

• Determination of a high quality of service to Redbridge residents that addresses four of the six core functions of volunteering infrastructure at a local level. These are:

1. Brokerage Services
2. Developing volunteer opportunities
3. Strategic development of volunteering
4. Voice of volunteering

• Increased and more effective partnerships with the Authority and other stakeholders facilitated by the Provider;

• Monitoring and tracking of volunteer placements to ensure sustainable outcomes.
