Description

The Services which are the subject of this tender are in relation to the service, maintenance and repair of fire fighting equipment to the Councils Housing Stock.

Specifically the services required include for:

(i) Annual wet testing of dry riser mains and twice a year checks of inlets, landing valves, drain valves, door hinges and locking arrangements to inlet and landing valve boxes;

(ii) Dry Riser - Bi annual test - (A) Service and visual inspection (B) Service, visual and Wet test;

(iii) Quarterly maintenance of Fire Alarm systems;

(iv) Annual check of portable fire extinguishers;

(v) Bi annual service to portable extinguisher at certain sites;

(vi) Annual check of fire blankets and replacement where necessary;

(vii) Quarterly test of automatic smoke ventilation windows;

(viii) Monthly Functional test to supported housing sites.

The Contract will be awarded for an initial period of three (3) years extendable at the Authority's sole discretion for a further two (2) years to a maximum period of five (5) years.
