Description

Uttlesford District Council is looking for a competent Building Contractor for the development of 13No. new-build properties and associated works in the market town of Gt Chesterford, Essex.

UDC has already secured planning permission (reference UTT/19/2288/FUL) for the development and is seeking the commencement of the project late 2020.

The successful tenderer will preferably have undertaken similar new build schemes for Local Authorities or Registered Providers and be familiar with the nature of such projects.

Suitability will be ascertained by the completion of a Tender Quality Submission document that forms part of the Tender documentation and also potentially at a "due diligence meeting" which will be held prior to any Contract award and appointment. The project timetable has been set and is included in the tender documents.

The estimated Contract Sum for the works is approximately £1.9m and the project will be awarded via a JCT 2016 DB Contract.

Uttlesford District Council is looking for works to commence on Monday, 7th December 2020.
