Description
NHS England South East (Thames Valley) plans to commission Advanced Mandatory Restorative and Oral Surgery services on the basis of one service in each of the health systems in the Thames Valley (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire East and Berkshire West). These pathways will ensure there are referral routes for more complex treatments that do not require treatment in a hospital setting.
Other benefits to this approach are:
• A planned level of activity will be commissioned each year, which will help to achieve equal access to services across the Thames Valley.
• Services will be commissioned at scale which means there will be more opportunity for the delivery of services using skill mix.
• One service per county will support more integrated working with primary and secondary care.
NHS England South East (Thames Valley) would like to invite suitably qualified providers to attend a market briefing event which will inform the market of their intentions to procure Advanced Mandatory Restorative and Oral Surgery services in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, East Berkshire and West Berkshire.
It is envisaged that the tender documentation for these services will be available April 2019 (Restorative) and June 2019 (Oral Surgery).
The market engagement event will be held on Monday 25th March 2019 between 19:00 and 21:00 at Jubilee House, 5510 John Smith Drive, Oxford Business Park South, Oxford, OX4 2LH.
