Description
Colchester Borough Council, as lead authority for the North Essex Parking Partnership, is seeking a contractor to provide and remove road markings. These must meet all legal requirements to allow enforcement of the relevant traffic regulation orders, such as the Traffic Signs and General Directions 2016. The North Essex Parking Partnership manages on-street traffic regulation orders across Braintree, Colchester, Harlow, Epping Forest, Tendring and Uttlesford Districts and so the contractors must be able to work across all of these areas when required without council officer supervision.
The contractor will be required to undertake:
-The removal of road markings (burning off and/or painting over)
-The laying of road markings using mechanical means
-The laying of road markings by hand

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
The deadline for Expressing your interest is 17:00 Hours on Monday 11th December 2017. Completed tender submissions must be uploaded to the Delta E-sourcing portal by 12:00 (noon) on Monday 18th December 2017.
The initial tender period will be for two years from 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2020, with the option to extend for a further 2 years until 31st March 2022.
