Description
The ICT Service (Education) is a traded service wholly owned by Cambridgeshire County Council. Our customers, schools in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and surrounding counties, pay us for a variety of services based around ICT and technology in general. We provide technical services and solutions remote and onsite technical support, cloud hosting, service desk and application support, classroom and school management training and consultancy to over 260 schools in the East of England.
A solution is required to filter and track the usage of web content for Cambridgeshire Schools to form part of the WAN infrastructure delivering Internet access to schools. It should facilitate the blocking and reporting of inappropriate web content, without solely relying on URL blocklists which can quickly become outdated. It should also provide the ability to easily block content based on who is attempting to access the content as well as robust reporting capabilities.
The key end users will be Cambridgeshire Schools - Primary and Secondary education.
The ICT Service technical staff will be involved as part of the design, and installation of the proposed solution with regards to its integration into the existing data centre environment. A dedicated project management resource will be identified to act as the single point of contact and escalation point during the delivery of the project.
Service Review meetings are required quarterly in the first year of the contract reducing to every 6 months in years 2 and 3. Contract Review Meeting required prior to further 3-year extension.
The Potential Provider must ensure suitable training is included within their proposed bid.
This Framework is for 3 years, with an option to extend for 3 years, making 6 years in total.
