Description

Delivery of the local Healthwatch function in Wigan Borough will see effective work with local people to understand what is important to them about local health services, and this information used to represent and improve their experiences.

The provider of local Healthwatch will demonstrate:

• That its work plan and priorities reflect those of local people through robust evidence gathered;
• That improvements have been made to local services in response to issues and concerns raised by Healthwatch, and that users of services have better experiences as a result.
• That it is fluent in the local health and social care economy and that it can direct people accurately to the relevant service.
• That more people feel able to make a complaint about a health service as a result of the advocacy support it provides.
