Description

Following the introduction of the Openness of Local Government Bodies Regulations 2014, The Council would like to visual webcast its meetings, held in the Council Chamber, and potentially other meetings held in the same location. The proposed solution must allow interested parties, including local residents, to view Council meetings live over the internet as they happen. The solution must also allow interested parties to view recorded meetings over the internet at a later date up to 12 months after the meeting took place. The Council envisages that up to 20 hours of content will need to be recorded per annum if only the Council Chamber is equipped. A further 40-50 hours would be required were the facility to be extended to include Committee Room 3. Meetings will need to be available online for a period of 12 months from the date of the recording. This content will need to be hosted externally by the supplier or its agents but be accessible by interested parties via the Council's web site. Interested parties must be able to view live or recorded meetings using a variety of industry standard media players and industry standard hardware (including PCs, Apple Mac devices, tablet computers and mobile phones).
