Description

REQUIREMENT 1

The School of Nursing are investing in some age specific hi-fidelity patient simulation manikins, complete with associated software and hardware to enhance the student learning experience. The manikins are required to have an age-appropriate appearance including skin features that are realistic in terms of feel, flexibility and aging appearance/characteristics therefore giving a precise representation of the aging body and human anatomy. The patient simulator should have weight distributed features and the ability to undertake passive limb movement for the purpose of using with moving and handling equipment. The simulators will be used across the school's portfolio in support of simulation-based education, with a strong focus on improving care for older people.

REQUIREMENT 2
The School of Nursing is looking to purchase a 3-walled immersive simulation system to enhance to enhance simulation-based education across its broad portfolio of health programmes. The virtual technology should allow for a fully interactive experience and the creation of a diverse range of environments ranging from pre-hospital and community settings to critical care environments. The contract should include onsite visit support, training and access to extensive content. As such, the company required needs to have proven track record within healthcare simulation.
