Description

The aims of this research project are:
1. To understand the experience of residents in the aftermath of the fire (and not their experiences of the fire and events on the day). This includes both survivors and those who live in the immediate vicinity and have been displaced. In particular we want to know about their experiences of accessing support ranging from access to advice and support services such as housing, visas, benefits and legal to experiences of access to healthcare. (This list is not exhaustive and you may identify further areas to present in the research).
2. To understand the knowledge, attitudes and practices of key stakeholders (such as RBKC and other key service providers) in response to the fire and how they have supported survivors and those displaced. In addition, to get a sense of the numbers of people affected and how. We have established a relationship with key organisations such as Grenfell United and Kensington Law Centre and would expect you to work closely with them.
3. To provide the Commission with details of up to 5 respondents who are willing for us to record video stories about their experiences. This will be followed up by our Communications team and will complement our evidence base. We will use the videos to influence the official Inquiry as well as provide a neutral platform for people to speak about their experiences.
