Description

BCP Council wishes to commission the refurbishment of the existing athletics track at Kings Park Athletics Stadium.

The refurbishment works will consist primarily of providing a new upgraded porous track polymeric surfacing to all areas of the standard 400m track 'D', event areas and increased capacity to accommodate additional horizontal jumps.

It shall be ensured that on completion the refurbishment works have been constructed to a standard so as to achieve UKA TrackMark Unit 1, 2 & 5 certification.

The contractor will be required to design/complete design and provide new DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) access routes and a New LED Floodlighting system.

All aspects of the refurbishment shall comply fully with the requirements of the current IAAF/World Athletics1 - Track and Field Facilities Manual (2019). The new track system offered for the resurfacing works shall hold a product approval certificate issued by the IAAF and be on the current IAAF web site for approved track systems.
