Description

Southampton city council are seeking to appoint a contractor that will deliver landscaping works in the vicinity of Canberra Towers in the Weston area of the city.

Canberra towers is a recognisable landmark and one of the tallest buildings in the city, built in the 1960s as part of the Weston housing estate development, the area around the towers require improvement to match the expectations of residents and visitors. To improve the physical environment in the area, the council have consulted residents to identify works to include the installation of a new a pathway, replacement of existing steps, installation of communal art, and provision of a new seating area. The contract is due to commence in November 2023 and works are expected to be completed by end of March 2024
