Description

Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award.

Please note the contracting authority intends to direct award the contract to Samaritans. The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal.

Health Education England [HEE] believes that the Samaritans are the only organisation capable of delivering the specific requirements to deliver crisis telephone/ triage educational provision. The Samaritans are the only supplier with the requisite expertise and experience to assist HEE.

Therefore, Health Education England is seeking to commission Samaritans to undertake the provision of services to enhance the capability of the healthcare workforce to identify when a patient is undergoing a mental health crisis and respond appropriately via telephone service. HEE is seeking to work with Samaritans as they have a detailed understanding of the delivery of crisis care and with the expert knowledge to develop and deliver associated training.


The financial envelope for the contract is £100,000.
