Description

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at Royton and Crompton School.

Royton and Crompton is a larger than average school with specialist science college status. A higher than average percentage of students receives free school meals. The proportion of students of minority ethnic heritage, or at the early stages of learning English, is lower than the national average. The School holds Investors in People status, Healthy Schools, Eco Schools, Sportsmark and Artsmark awards.

The School is looking for a catering contractor who will be their partner at the existing site and in assisting the transition and development of a proposed new build in 24 months.

The current facility offers many challenges, with potential to tap into an undeveloped market, sowing the seeds to take a leading role in future developments.

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at three points of service at sites that form part of Royton and Crompton School, providing a breakfast, break time and lunch service to pupils who cannot take advantage of leaving the premises.

The catering service is currently outsourced to a catering contractor.

Any company wishing to be considered for this contract must be able to demonstrate experience and depth of knowledge in the management and handling of TUPE issues.

The contract will commence on 1.2.2017 for a period of three years, with an option to extend on a 1 +1 basis.

This contract will be nil cost in nature with the successful contractor developing the team and market to move forward.

We are seeking a suitably experienced contractor who has current experience of working within the secondary school or college market place, ideally with a strong operational base within the North of England, thus allowing for responsive, contract support and management of catering staff.

The successful tenderer will be required to formally report each month on catering standard performance and operational matters, ensuring the senior management team at the School is fully informed about all issues related to delivery of the catering service.
