Description
Leicester City Council Local Services and Enforcement department has built a Household Waste Recycling Centre on Gypsum Close. As part of the Health and Safety improvements we are looking to install side guards to the pedestrian walkways adjacent to the containers where customers dispose of their recycling and waste. Further to that, where there is operational machinery, we would be looking for electrical cut out switches, which would be activated when the guards are in the closed position.
The length of the bays to which the guards will be fixed is approximately 5 metres, with the guards being a suitable size and fitted to the current concrete safety walls. The guards are to be fit for purpose, Galvanised and of a substantial quality to absorb the rigours of regular use within a Waste Management facility. There may also be required a combination of sliding and hinged guards depending on the individual bay.
The Authority wishes to purchase 12 units. However, the actual quantities will depend on the unit price and available budget.
A site visit is a mandatory requirement in order to carry out exact measurements. Suppliers who do not attend a site visit will be excluded from the process.
Tenderers are required to carry out site visits (by appointment only) to obtain all the information.
Location: Gypsum Close, Leicester LE4 9AB.
To arrange a site visit, please contact: Jonathan Feeley
