Description

East Herts Council have progressed to the final phase of an exciting and prestigious £2.6mil National Lottery funded project to improve a historic park in the centre of Bishop's Stortford.

This 6.7 Ha flagship park contains a grade 1 listed Scheduled Ancient Monument, a major river and a wide range of facilities.
The improvements have been planned to exacting National Lottery standards over a two year development phase during which surveys and designs were completed. We are currently procuring works contracts in preparation for the delivery phase.

We need a contractor to project manage the delivery of the works at a strategic level and crucially to drive progress on the ground.
The works cover a wide range of disciplines including building construction and renovation, bridge installation, play, lighting, landscape and conservation works.

The Council will act as project sponsor and authorise expenditure but the hands on organisation and direction of contractors and budget control will be managed through this contract. The contractor will report progress to the Council and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The successful contractor will have experience in:
• directing project delivery in a multidisciplinary environment
• driving progress effectively on the ground
• communicating progress to multiple stakeholders

Please note the deadline for returns and allow sufficient time to make your return as late returns will not be permitted.
Any questions relating to this quote should be made via correspondence on the website and can be addressed to the main contact as shown in the details above.
