Description
This contract is for the cleaning of changing rooms (following sports fixtures), pavilions, hall. toilets and mess rooms on facilities owned by Banbury Town Council and located within the town. Currently this is for an annual contract to start on the 1st April 2020 and will terminate on the 31st March 2021 however if this is successful there is the possibility of the contract rolling over for up to a further 4 years i.e. 31st March 2025.
This is a standalone contract but the successful contractor will be expected to clean the changing room/ pavilions after each match as per the specification with the toilets being cleaned daily.
Currently there are 2 toilet blocks located in the towns 2 cemeteries with a third due to open in early 2020 at our People's Park; changing rooms & a hall on 4 sites with a fifth due to come on stream this September (2019) and sixth at some time in the future. One mess room is located at our Southam Road Cemetery Depot with a second due to be built along within the toilet block at People's Park (all details identified in the contract documentation).
This work is being undertaken at the present time by our grounds maintenance contractor id Verde Ltd who would be able to inform you of any TUPE implications.

This contract is being tendered early due to the ongoing effect it will have on the available budget for the grounds maintenance contracts that will also be tendered this year and are due to commence on the 1st April 2020. The successful tender received will be inflated as identified in the contract documentation by the rate of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) identified in the February figures for the start of the contract on 1st April 2020.
All tenders to be returned by Noon on Friday 2nd August 2019, must use the attached envelope label on a plain envelope with no company information or advertising being shown. Tenders will not be accepted if tenderers send in envelopes showing this information.
It has been noted that the contract documentation states that the Tender return date is Noon on the 16th September 2019 this is incorrect. The tenders must be returned to the Town Council by Noon on the 2nd August 2019.
