Description

The National Lottery Promotions Unit requires a digital service provider to create and manage a social media voting solution for the 2019 National Lottery Awards. The social media voting will primarily take place on Twitter and employ trackable and verifiable voting hashtags or a suitable alternative voting mechanism. Within budget the unit would also like to explore voting on other social media platforms such as Facebook or Instagram.

The appointed agency will be responsible for Monitoring and counting social media for votes, creating daily reports throughout the voting period with tallies for each individual project that are adjudicated by the Electoral Reform Service.
Ensuring voting is within the Electoral reform services rules and guidance, this includes a vetting process for votes so that only one vote is counted from each account in their respective categories.
Responding within an hour for urgent enquiries and within a day for non-urgent enquiries regarding this system.
Providing a live dashboard for the NLPU to be able to see the social media voting figures
To be compatible with GDPR legislation regarding the secure transfer of Data.

It is expected there will be around 50 finalists competing in 5 categories. However, is subject to official confirmation.
