As a result, Aston University is seeking an experienced and accredited contractor to undertake the following Fire Lining improvements:

• Fire Stopping Works - to include All conventional fire stopping works i.e., 'Batt and mastic' fire stopping, Fire Stop foam, Intumescent colours, and bandages etc,
• Fire Damper Works - Installation of mode 5 or fusible link dampers within in-use ductwork passing through fire compartments.
• Fire Door Works - Rectification of fire door gaps & rectification of poorly fitted fire door frames to structure i.e., replacement of 'pink expanding foam'.

to the following buildings of the University:

- Main Building
- Aston Day Hospital (ADH)
- Aston Brain Centre (ACS)
- Nursery
- Vision Science (VS)
- Woodcock Sports Centre (WSC)
- Walsall Recreation Centre
- EBRI

For the improvements that have been identified there will be a pricing schedule with a description of the work with a measure of metre run, area, etc.

Additional works that are identified as the project progresses will be prorated against the contractors priced schedule. If there is any work that cannot be prorated, then a rate will be agreed between both parties. These additional works may be subject to re measure.

These improvements to be undertaken in accordance with Aston Design Guidelines; Passive Fire Protection v10.

It is intended that this scheme will be funded solely by Aston University.
