Description

London Luton Airport (LLA) is in search of specialist contractors / suppliers to tender for the supply, servicing and maintenance of cabin baggage screening systems to meet the future requirements and demands of LLA and the European ECAC and the Department for Transport (DfT) directives pertinent to the screening of passengers and their belongings.

The contract will be held for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for 2 additional years on an annual basis (3+1+1).

The Central Search Area is currently going through a process of redesign. There are currently 12 lanes in the current area. This is due to be expanded to allow the capacity to be increased by an additional 4 lanes. Of the 12 current lanes, 8 are TRS and the remaining 4 are passive.

London Luton Airport is seeking a supplier for 1 of 3 options; all options include 4no. X-Ray machines, 4no. fully automated Tray Return System (TRS) and a recheck work station and associated software package for each lane. The software package shall include a dashboard requirement as per Appendix 2. Options are based on the software package offered and its integration into the existing operation or delivery as a stand-alone solution.
