Description

The BBC is launching a procurement for Audio Visual Systems Integration for a new Wales HQ,Central Square, Cardiff.
The scope of the procurement includes the following:
- Supply and install approx. 400 Displays;
- Supply and install meeting room and collaboration equipment;
- Building wide IPTV System;
- Broadcast Display System (Displays in Production areas, integrated into Production Systems);
- LED Video Wall and Control System;
- Supply and Install of intelligent lighting;
- Supply and Install Digital Signage System;
- Interactive technology for public engagement.


This specification aims to provide sufficient information to allow a System Integrator (\"SI\" otherwise known as the \"Contractor\") to produce a quotation and proposal for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of Audio Visual (\"AV\") Systems within the new BBC Wales headquarters that will be located in Cardiff Central Square (the \"Project\"). It is anticipated that the System Integrator will procure solutions and services from specialist 3rd Parties throughout the project and these are referred to as \"Suppliers\" throughout the technical specifications.

The Purchaser (hereafter referred to as the \"BBC\" in this document) intends to fit out a broadcast centre with state of the art technical facilities that will allow BBC Wales to fulfil its' mission to inform, educate and entertain. As a corporation with a Royal Charter the BBC is keen to procure technology solutions that will deliver best value for the licence fee payer.

The project will be structured into seven work packages as shown below:
• IPTV & Desk AV Specification
• Broadcast Display System (BDS) Specification
• Digital Signage Specification
• Meeting Room & Collaboration Spaces Specification
• Large Spaces Specification
• Video Walls Specification
• Lighting System Specification

It should be noted that the expectation is that all works/services are delivered by the end of November 2019, the contract end date stated in this notice is an estimate.
