Description
Quotations are invited for the provision of 'Health Education England Midlands and East Primary Care Apprenticeship Training Needs Analysis'
Supporting Primary Care employers with challenges around Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard and beyond
Summary Evaluation Aims and Objectives:
The Training Needs Analysis (TNA) aims to:
• Determine apprenticeship activity across Primary Care within the Midlands and east region. By "Apprenticeship Activity" we refer to -
o Apprenticeship starts
o If Apprentices are recruited externally or current staff are being trained on apprenticeship standards
o Which apprenticeship standards are being utilised
• From the data gathered, why are Business Administration Apprenticeship Standards not being accessed?
• Determine where the need is regarding apprenticeship standards that are available. There may be gaps in provision as standards do not exist for specific roles within primary care
• Where there are gaps in training provision that is stopping apprenticeship activity.
• Where Primary care providers would like to benefit from levy funds but are not levy payers themselves, there is an opportunity to co-investment apprenticeship funding; this would allow linking with apprenticeship levy payers that want to transfer some of their funds.
• Provide feedback on activity broken down into county, STP footprint, sub region and region
• Recommendations on what can be done to improve activity across Primary Care in utilising apprenticeship training.
Key Training Needs Analysis Requirements
A. To carry out interviews, questionnaires and focus groups with key stakeholders, Primary Care organisations, Training Hubs
B. To gather information based on Health Education England's requirements for the Training Needs Analysis as outlined in appendix 1
C. To provide a report on current and previous apprenticeship activity in Primary Care organisations across the Midlands and east region
D. To understand and report on challenges faced by Primary Care organisations across the Midlands and east region and in particular focus on Business Administration Apprenticeships as a starting point to expand into other apprenticeship standards (both Clinical and Non-Clinical) in the future.
E. To provide regular activity updates and final report(s), in-line with specific delivery of timeline and as agreed with the contract manager.
F. To develop recommendations for future activity to encourage and support an increase in apprenticeship activity across Primary Care in the Midlands and east region
NOTE: It is expected that all submissions from the evaluation will be approved and reviewed by The Authority prior to release.
