Description
Avon Fire Authority is seeking support for the in-house maintenance facility for their vehicle repairs and recovery. The contract will cover circa 140 vehicles.
It has been determined that the overall requirement will be broken down into the following lots:
Lot 1 - Vehicle Maintenance support, repairs or modifications as defined by the Authority
• Vehicle Accident Repairs
• Repair jigs and associated equipment
• Hoist / Lifts
• Pullers and Presses
• Spray booths (compliance with current environmental regulations)
• Colour mixing provisions
• Alignment provision
• Modification of lockers
• Fabrication, Bodywork and Stowage provision
• External modification as upgraded bumpers or winch fitting
• Service & Repairs
• Collection and Delivery Service
• All other works considered appropriate by the Authority and the Contractor
Lot 2 - Vehicle Recovery (cars, vans and commercial vehicles up to 7.5T GVW, including hybrids and full-electric power)
• Accident recovery from the Authority premises
• Road side accident recovery at all levels
• Vehicle breakdown nationally
• Disabled vehicle movement as requested by the Authority
The Authority wants to secure the following outcomes from this tender:
• A commitment to the delivery of financial savings through contract innovations and mutually beneficial cost saving initiatives
• Improvements in vehicle repair & recovery times
• Warranty repair work undertaken to manufacturer's standards
• Full use of technology
• The confidence of a partner working to or towards BS 10125 or any other up to date relevant standards.
Bidders will be able to bid for either one or both Lots. The Authority will reserve the right to award a single Lot or both Lots to a Contractor.
