Description

Warrington Borough Council are inviting tenders for a new service to deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people from Warrington at various venues across the town, in accordance with the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 . The aim of the service is to deliver enhanced support from staff with clinical experience, to deliver a mix of provision, from counselling to group work and age appropriate therapeutic sessions. Service staff will be qualified to a minimum level of BACP with post qualifying experience of 2 years or more equivalent; 10 plus years of experience of delivering therapeutic interventions to children and young people affected by domestic abuse.

The service will deliver whole family interventions including a therapeutic approach, mainly to children and young people. The service is expected to deliver direct and indirect interventions that meet the needs of the individual child or young person, whilst signposting adults to additional services.

The service will ensure that children and young people receive emotional support and interventions with educational resources around understanding relationships in the context of an abusive family home. It will support them to feel safe and ensure their voice is heard. Outcomes will be analysed monthly to ensure the quality of the service and the positive impact on the children and young people.

The Contract to be awarded will be for a period of 12 months with the option to extend for a further two periods of 12 months; providing a service for up to 3 years in total. Any extension will be based on the performance and quality of the service to meet the requirements of this specification.
