Description
The aim of this tender exercise is for Stonewater to appoint a single supplier to assist with the optimisation of required services (VMWare, Windows Server, Active Directory, Citrix, Netscaler SDX, Palo Alto Firewalls, LT and Cisco telephony and Call Centre (Finesse), Switching switching). In addition, this supplier will manage all maintenance requirements of the networking equipment and Cisco products within the Datacentres and offices (patching and firmware upgrades) and providing necessary reports to support the service.
Stonewater also expects the appointed supplier to be able to provide fourth line support for all Operating Systems and hardware against agreed service levels. The supplier will be expected to assist the infrastructure team with identified projects, as and when required, including elements of design, implementation and associated documentation however these do not form part of the existing support contract and will be costed separately. They will also conduct regular audits to ensure Stonewater stays within best practice with AD, O365 and CIS standards. There is also a requirement for monitoring hardware status and the support of existing monitoring software; Stonewater currently utilises Splunk, SolarWinds and has the desire to leverage these applications for dashboards and reports, i.e. WSUS, AD, Anti-Virus etc.
During any formal tender procedure, Stonewater seeks to achieve the best value with any potential supplier. This is achieved through the 3 E's (Economy, Efficiency and Effectiveness), as explained below:
Economy - This is the price paid (the impact on people as well as actual money spent) for providing a service at best value, taking price and quality into account.
Efficiency - This is a measure of productivity - how much you get out in relation to what you put in. It is the efficiency of converting resources (inputs) into results (outputs).
Effectiveness - This measures the impact of obtaining value for money. It can be quantitative (the amount of effectiveness) or qualitative (the value of effectiveness).
