Description

Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of an Energy Prospectus.

This contract will be for a period of 14 weeks commencing 20 August until 26 November 2018.

The appointed organisation is required to provide the City council with:

1) A database of the key stakeholders delivering energy projects and infrastructure developments that specifically address decarbonisation. These will include community energy projects to large energy from waste and infrastructure schemes that can achieve carbon reduction within domestic properties, industrial/commercial buildings and transport. Each project or development will need to clarify potential carbon reduction impact providing an overview of the 'necessary conditions' that need to be in place to ensure successful deployment of new infrastructure (e.g. guaranteed heat generation source, consumer acceptance, particular building types).

2) An energy prospectus document that provides the overview of current energy activity, as well as proposed projects/developments as outlined in point 1 above, and indicating the potential for investment. This will include a timetable for potential deployment of projects and infrastructure developments, scale and estimated cost of deployment. This will be informed by the pace/ and potential location of energy developments as well as the readiness of the technology to be deployed.

3) A programme of stakeholder engagement, whereby a work plan will involve a number of face-to-face meetings, a number of stakeholder workshops of which two workshops with local stakeholders in Birmingham's energy community, will be in collaboration with the CKIC Transition Hub, to trial new methods of stakeholder engagement.
