Description

This notice is a call for competition under an open type Procedure requesting bids for APMS contract for Centre Surgery GP Practice.

The commissioner wishes to receive tenders from suitable qualified and experience Providers with the necessary capacity and capability to provide the range of services required.

The provider must ensure services are appropriate to local needs, access and convenience are important aspects of a patient-centred service but it is also vital that the services are appropriate and responsive to the needs of the local population.
The CCGs will run a transparent process, ensuring all bidders (where applicable) are given equal opportunity.

The APMS Centre Surgery GP Practice service will deliver:

a) Services required for the management of the registered patients and temporary residents, who are, or believe themselves to be:
i. ill with conditions from which recovery is generally expected;
ii. Terminally ill; or
iii. Suffering from chronic disease
which are delivered in the manner determined by the contractor's practice in discussion with the Patient, or, where appropriate (e.g. where power of attorney exists), the patient's next of kin or legal guardian;

b) Appropriate on-going treatment and care to all registered patients and temporary residents taking account of their specific needs including:
i. the provision of advice in connection with the patient's health, including relevant health promotion advice;
ii. The referral of the patient for other

The contract term will be for 5 years plus 5 years subject to review of performance at 5 years.

The CCGs reserve the right to award in part or in whole. The CCGs reserve the right not to proceed with award.
"Light Touch Regime" services: This service is classified as clinical which comes under the Light Touch Regime services for the purpose of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations ("Regulations"). The contracting authorities are not voluntarily following any other part of the Regulations. As the CCGs are relevant bodies for the purpose of the National Health Service (Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition) (No 2) Regulations 2013 these Regulations also apply to this procurement.
